A mood that has been hitting fashion is a bloody battlefield. Possibly a reaction to the ending war and financial collapse? We still have our cut’s and bruises but we are pulling through - only this time tougher. There is so much new empowerment today and we believe this collection represents just that."

"Rik Villa, one of my favorite street designers held his first fashion show, “R U the 1,” over the weekend to introduce his brand new 2014 collection…and among the guests was none other than yours truly! Most known for his paisley bandana prints that celebrities and the underground fashion community obsess over, Villa’s new line shifts focus to interesting patterns like QR codes and dollar bill prints. Models strutted down the runway in variations of casual sweat/jogger attire, all with Villa’s signature monochromatic color scheme. Like ombre hair, cool sweat pants and black & white are here to stay."

"We met fashion bloggers, models, and even had the opportunity to venture backstage to get a behind the scenes glimpse of the chaos behind the curtains. Both designer and models were busy bees after the show ended to prepare for the onsite market, where attendees got first dibs on the new pieces before it became available to the public. The collection is now available at Villa’s online Etsy store so don’t forget to check it out if you value quality, cool, and Avant-garde street apparel. You will definitely get great bang for your buck."
